Hollander Hospitality Announces New Hotel Facilities Manager / Chief Engineer

Wayne Ruedinger

Please join us in congratulating Wayne Ruedinger on his new role with Hollander Hospitality! Wayne has accepted the position of Hotels Facilities Manager/Chief Engineer! Wayne started working for Hollander in 1995, as a Conference/Houseperson/Maintenance Technician at our Best Western Premier Plaza. Since then, he has been a man of many hats. Wayne worked as a Maintenance Technician during the new construction of our Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and from there went back to the Best Western Premier Plaza in the role of Conference Supervisor. He then took up the position of Project Supervisor for Hollander Investments, overseeing various renovation projects for the company. In 2014, Wayne became the new Chief Engineer for Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport. Just three years later, he assumed the role of Lead Chief Engineer for all Hollander Hotels. When asked what he is looking forward to in this new role, Wayne said, "I always like being involved at all the properties and keeping them up to the Hollander standard. I enjoy meeting with the staff and managers to discuss current/future maintenance and up coming capital projects. I enjoy working with Guy Bourn (since 1995) as we work well together and apart at different properties. I always am pushing myself and looking for the next challenge. Bring it on!" Some interesting facts about Wayne are that he is retired Air Force/Civil Service with 29.5 years of service, traveled the world from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Antarctica and beyond, and built a himself a retirement house in the Philippines. He and his wife also just purchased a camping trailer, and are looking forward to traveling near and far to visit all of their family and friends! Congratulations, Wayne!
