Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown Welcomes New Sales Manager

Valerie Woods

Valerie Woods has accepted Sales Manager position at Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown. She began her career at Fife Commercial Bank, running their loan processing department for 18 years. She then took her people management skills to Evo, an outdoor recreation retail store in the heart of Seattle, as Supervisor to DC Operations and Administration. Valerie was soon recruited by Oiselle Running Apparel, where after just six months she was promoted to Director of Retail at their flagship store in University Village. A change in career brought Valerie to Hollander Hospitality, where she says It was evident in the first few moments of interaction with the Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma team that this was a happy and warm place to work. In Valerie's new role, she is excited to apply her sales and customer service skills to the hospitality industry, and to be a part of the wonderful culture that Hollander Hospitality has created. A fun fact about Valerie is that when she was a teenager she was an extra into the movie Twin Peaks!
